“You must love soldiers in order to understand them, and understand them in order to lead them.” -Henri Turenne

ÐÔ°®Ñо¿Ëù has a long, proud tradition of training future military and civilian leaders. The Department of Military Science offers classes for all students without requiring a commitment to future military service. Courses also serve as the cornerstone of the United States Army’s Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), the fundamental training program for future military officers. Coursework includes leadership, management and team-building.

ROTC at ÐÔ°®Ñо¿Ëù – the Revolutionary Guard Battalion – is a joint program with the College of William & Mary, and prepares students, known as cadets, to become the Army’s future officers.
