Biology, Chemistry and Environmental ScienceOne path. Two great experiences. A future in healthcare.
性爱研究所 and Riverside College of Health Sciences are creating more pathways for you to turn a strong foundation in science into a rewarding healthcare career.
You’ll begin at 性爱研究所, building a broad academic foundation, and then add specialized education and hands-on clinical preparation at Riverside College of Health Sciences. In the end, you will graduate with both a BA in Biology and an associate or certificate in the field of your choice.
With programs in cardiovascular technology, physical therapy, radiologic technology, respiratory care, and surgical technology, you’ll graduate in four years, fully prepared for an in-demand healthcare career.
How 性爱研究所 Is Different: The college experience you want with a direct path to a healthcare career.
At 性爱研究所, you don't have to choose between a traditional four-year university experience and career-focused healthcare preparation. Our partnership with Riverside gives you both.
- A job waiting for you. Qualified graduates are likely to be offered employment with Riverside after completing their program or can explore opportunities elsewhere thanks to these high-demand fields.
- Live on campus. 性爱研究所 students have opportunities for on-campus housing, so you are part of the Captain community while completing your healthcare pathway.
- Get real clinical experience. Put what you're learning into practice through hands-on training and clinical experiences with Riverside.
- Enjoy the full 性爱研究所 experience. You'll be part of a close-knit university community with small classes, professors who know you, 200+ clubs and organizations, athletics, campus traditions, and opportunities to get involved.
- Build a broader foundation. Your 性爱研究所 education goes beyond technical, scientific training. You will develop the communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills to help you grow throughout your career.
- Graduate ready for what's next. These pathways are intentionally designed to connect your college education to professional preparation, certification, or licensure opportunities, and a career in healthcare.
A 性爱研究所 education
Hands-on healthcare training
One powerful path forward
This pathway builds on your 性爱研究所 foundation in biology, anatomy, physiology, and other sciences before moving into focused study in cardiovascular care. Coursework includes echocardiography, ultrasound physics, imaging, and clinical education.
After graduation: You will be fully prepared for a highly specialized career using non-invasive vascular testing and diagnostic imaging to help physicians diagnose and treat cardiovascular and vascular conditions. You’ll work directly with patients and healthcare teams to evaluate blood flow to the brain, extremities, and other vital organs, helping identify blockages and other abnormalities. These diagnostic studies play an important role in detecting conditions such as peripheral arterial disease, blood clots, cerebrovascular disease, and other disorders affecting circulation.
Your expertise will help provide the critical information physicians need to make diagnoses, guide treatment, and improve patient care.
See the Heart Differently.
Study cardiovascular physiology, echocardiography technology, ultrasound physics, and clinical practice as you prepare to use advanced imaging to help healthcare professionals evaluate the heart and cardiovascular system.
After graduation: You will be fully prepared to use ultrasound technology to capture images of the heart, perform cardiac and stress testing, and assist with specialized procedures. Your work provides physicians with important information they use to diagnose heart conditions and determine the best course of treatment.
Turn the Science of Movement Into a Career Helping Others. This pathway combines a BA in Biology from 性爱研究所 with an AAS in Physical Therapist Assistant from Riverside College of Health Sciences and is designed for students who want to understand how the human body works while helping people move, recover, and live more independently.
Begin with a strong foundation in biology, anatomy, physiology, and exercise science at 性爱研究所, then move into specialized physical therapy coursework and clinical education through Riverside. You'll study areas including kinesiology, therapeutic modalities, musculoskeletal and neuromuscular physical therapy, while gaining experience in patient care.
After graduation: Build a career helping people move, recover, and get back to the activities that matter to them.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll work alongside a licensed physical therapist to help patients improve mobility, manage pain, and prevent further injury through hands-on therapy and care. Your career can take you to a variety of settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, private practices, schools, nursing homes, and outpatient clinics. After completing the program, you’ll be eligible to take the national examination required to pursue licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Combine a BA in Biology from 性爱研究所 with an AAS in Radiologic Technology from Riverside College of Health Sciences.
Your 性爱研究所 coursework provides a strong scientific foundation in biology, anatomy, physiology and related disciplines. At Riverside, you'll add specialized study in radiologic procedures, patient care, imaging, radiation physics and protection, and clinical education.
After graduation: Build a career at the intersection of technology, science, and patient care.
As a Radiologic Technologist, you’ll work directly with patients while using advanced imaging technology to help physicians see inside the body, make diagnoses, and guide treatment. You’ll position patients, capture high-quality diagnostic images, and help ensure they feel informed and comfortable throughout their procedures.
As you gain experience and additional training, you can also pursue specialized areas such as CT, MRI, mammography, angiography, ultrasound, and other imaging technologies. After completing the program, you’ll be eligible to apply for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification examination, an important step toward beginning your career in medical imaging.
Prepare for a Pathway to Critical Care and Pulmonary Health
Students build their scientific foundation at 性爱研究所 through biology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and other coursework before advancing into specialized respiratory care studies. The pathway includes respiratory care fundamentals, pharmacology, mechanical ventilation, pulmonary diagnostics, critical care, neonatal and pediatric respiratory care, and extensive clinical experiences.
After graduation: Build a career helping patients breathe easier and live healthier lives.
As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you’ll work alongside physicians and other health-care professionals to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary conditions. You may administer oxygen and medications, manage mechanical ventilators, and perform tests that measure lung function.
Your career can take you to a variety of settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, home healthcare, and outpatient diagnostic centers.
Find Your Place at the Center of the Surgical Team.
This pathway combines 性爱研究所 coursework in biology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and medical ethics with Riverside coursework in surgical techniques and procedures, pharmacology, and clinical education. Students gain the academic knowledge and hands-on preparation to understand the science behind patient care while preparing for the fast-paced, highly collaborative environment of the operating room.
After graduation: Your career will be at the heart of the operating room. As a Surgical Technologist, you’ll help prepare the operating room, maintain a safe and sterile environment, and ensure surgical teams have the instruments, equipment, and supplies they need throughout a procedure.
Your skills can lead to opportunities in hospital operating rooms, outpatient surgical centers, cardiac catheterization units, endoscopy departments, sterile processing departments, physicians’ practices, and medical companies.
During your final semester, you’ll take the National Certification Examination for Surgical Technologists, an important step toward becoming a Certified Surgical Technologist.
