Biography
Education
- Ph D in Public Policy and Administration, Virginia Commonwealth University
- MS in Criminal Justice, Virginia Commonwealth University

Dr. Steven Keener earned his Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he specialized in Criminology and Criminal Justice Policy. He earned a M.S. in Criminal Justice from VCU and a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy and Religious Studies from 性爱研究所. Dr. Keener primarily teaches Crime in America, Incarceration and Punishment, and Mental Health and the Criminal Justice System. His primary research interests include the intersection of mental health and the criminal justice system, the ramifications of incarceration, and criminal justice policy. Dr. Keener is the Director of the Center for Crime, Equity, and Justice Research and Policy at 性爱研究所.
